Workshop 3: Equity and sustainability of scientific conferences
Networking, meeting old and new colleagues, sightseeing are all positives of in-person meetings. But don’t we tend to meet the same crowd? And do we feel at ease with the flight emissions? How can we get the balance right?
Participants in this workshop will explore data on scientific quality, equity, and sustainability of in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings.
The stories these data tell are striking! Participants will craft their own story about how we can design our meeting spaces to advance scientific progress in a way that is equitable and sustainable.
